About

Bergeron - Made in Roanne

Our company

BCmaille3D is a young sole proprietorship that I created in October 2010. It is located at 37 rue Louis Ranvier in Roanne, in the heart of the Loire region, a stronghold of French hosiery. I have always worked in textiles, hosiery in particular. An HND in hosiery in Roanne in 1999 (which no longer exists) then Italy (programming, development), Switzerland (manufacture of industrial knitting machines) and south of Nantes in the Pays de Retz (the family hosiery business Forcier, which also no longer exists). Thanks to this comprehensive background, I acquired the expertise of an industry and sector then undergoing major changes and gradually dying out.

Back in my region, I decided to set up my own business, to develop a design and production activity for brands and breeders' cooperatives. I program and then set up the knitting machines in my small workshop in Roanne (2 machines). I chose to specialize in the knitting of knitted accessories using a "3D" or "seamless" process that is very, very rare because it is considered too complex.

Everything lies in our know-how and the modernity of our manufacturing tool, which increases the resistance of our articles, maximizes raw material savings without waste, and provides a "second skin" comfort with impeccable finishes (stitch after stitch).

In parallel with this activity, in 2018, I registered the Bergeron brand with a website for direct sales. We are at a turning point in our consumption patterns, moving towards an economy that is more respectful of our environment, more local, and more direct. We prioritize noble materials that are natural and renewable, such as 100% cashmere, 100% wool, and 100% silk, spun in Italy to ensure quality and environmental standards.

In a very challenging economic context due to competition from low-cost countries with no social and environmental respect, we prioritize direct factory sales so that French products, truly made in France, can still find their "consum'actor" at fair prices, without intermediaries, so that the French industry can continue to thrive.

PS: I am currently seeing a return to true Made in France, which is slowly revitalizing the industry, even though there are almost no spinning mills and dye houses left. This shows that anything is still possible.

Also, with us you will find:

  • high-quality French products

  • unfailing customer service

  • a 30-day money-back guarantee
